Description

Harry Bosch was inspired to delve deeply in the homicide detective work by his mentor John Jack Thompson.  Thompson sparked, within Bosch, the “fire of relentlessness” in every case.

Bosch and Renée Ballard both work together to determine what started Thompson’s fire of relentlessness and dedication to make him the best homicide detective ever.  To their wonder, they came upon a murder case that struck Bosch’s mentor with awe.  The question arose for both Ballard and Bosche, “Did Thompson steal the murder book to end the murder case or was it to make sure that murder case never got solved?”
